Emilie Collyer writes award-winning fiction, crime and spec fic.
Emilie has twice won the Clan Destine Press Cross Genre category in the Scarlet Stiletto Awards run annually by Sisters in Crime Australia; for 'A Clean Job' and 'Service With A Smile'.
A Clean Job (which leads her eBook collection of short stories) also took out the 2013 Scarlet Stiletto overall Second Prize, (sponsored by Kill City bookshop).
'Service with a Smile' is featured in CDP eBook Scarlet Stiletto: short stories 2013.
'The Boys' which also appears in A Clean Job and other stories was first published as 'The Good Son' and was shortlisted in The Australian Literature Review May 2011 Short Story Competition.
Emilie's second eBook in the Clan Destine Fictions imprint is Autopsy of a Comedian and other stories. This four-story collection of speculative fiction with a darkly humorous flavour, will put a twist in how you see the world.
Her short stories have appeared in the anthologies, Cosmic Vegetable (USA); Scarlet Stiletto: short stories 2013 (AUS); Thirteen Stories (AUS); and many other publications, including - Kill Your Darlings, Overland, Cordite, Page Seventeen, Torpedo and The Big Issue.
Emilie also writes extensively for theatre, with over 15 works produced. Her sci-fi play The Good Girl, won the Best Emerging Writer Award at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe Festival; and Dream Home was shortlisted for the 2013 Patrick White Award.
Emilie Collyer - who lives in Melbourne - is also one of nine Australian authors who contributed to a collection called Whose Doctor? Reflections on a Time Lord. As someone once said, "There's no wrong way to be a fan of Doctor Who." The eBook is available from here.
